Learn Skills to Make Your Mind Work for You
Memory
Mnemonic Techniques
Build a “memory system” that actually works with ADHD. We’ll practice quick strategies like chunking, visualization, and linking new information to something you already know, plus spaced repetition for long-term recall. You’ll also learn how to pair mnemonics with real-world supports (phone cues, checklists, routines) so appointments, names, and important details stop slipping through the cracks.
Organization
Getting organized doesn't have to be hard:
Organization doesn’t have to mean perfection—it means fewer decisions and less chaos. We’ll build a low-friction system for capturing tasks, prioritizing what matters, and turning plans into routines you can repeat. Expect practical work on calendars, reminders, weekly resets, and simplifying your spaces and workflows so you can find what you need and follow through more consistently.
Task Initiation
Beat Procrastination
Getting started is often the hardest part, not because you’re lazy, but because ADHD brains pay an extra “activation cost.” We’ll break tasks into a first tiny step, design a simple start routine, and use time-boxing to lower the barrier to entry. The goal is momentum: fewer mental negotiations, more “I started before I could talk myself out of it.”
Impulse Control
Setting Yourself up for Success
Impulse control improves fastest when you design the environment, not just rely on willpower. We’ll practice “pause skills” (urge surfing, delay-and-decide, coping statements) and set up friction and safeguards around common triggers like scrolling, spending, snacking, interrupting, or emotional reactions. The focus is creating a setup where your best choices become the easiest choices.
