About Samantha
Samantha-Jo Deitrick is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) in Pennsylvania with more than 14 years of counseling and therapy experience. She holds two master’s degrees, including a clinical master’s degree from a CACREP-accredited program, and is also a National Guard veteran.
Samantha-Jo provides telehealth therapy for adults, adolescents, children, and families. She specializes in supporting neurodiverse clients, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals navigating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and clients experiencing family-system concerns. She also works with people facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and complex behavioral needs.
What Should a New Client Know About Working with Samantha?
New clients can expect a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where they are treated with humility and respect. Samantha-Jo believes that every person deserves individualized care and the freedom to move through therapy at their own pace.
She approaches therapy as a collaborative process. Rather than telling clients what their journey should look like, she works alongside them to explore their experiences, identify what feels meaningful, and find greater balance in daily life.
Her telehealth sessions are personalized to each client’s needs, identity, circumstances, and goals.
Samantha's Process for Working with Clients
Samantha-Jo begins by meeting clients exactly where they are and walking alongside them throughout the therapeutic process.
Her approach is flexible and individualized. Depending on the client’s needs, sessions may incorporate:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (iCBT)
Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERPT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Existential Therapy
Person-Centered Therapy
Narrative Therapy
Samantha-Jo does not use the same treatment approach for every client. She draws from different therapeutic methods to provide support that fits the individual or family she is working with. Her goal is to offer compassionate, nonjudgmental guidance while helping clients explore what makes the most sense for their unique path.
